There are two areas in which I need support.
If you are interested in giving financially or being a prayer partner, please contact me at Johannasjourney@yahoo.com.
The first and most important way is through prayer.
Prayer request and Praise report update: (2/21/13)
I Praise God for...
1. an opportunity to teach english to the sweet kids at 'Las Palmeras'
2. improvement in my spanish
3. Overall all good health
4. Placing me in a church and a family where the gospel is preached, Christ is proclaimed and the Love of God leads.
5. Beautiful sunny weather
Please join me in praying for...
1. Health- Over all I have been really healthy the past 2 months, but the past week the whole house is struggling with some sort of nasty cold, cough, flu, virus.
2. Funds- The church here is really struggling financially. We are undergoing some much needed construction and are lacking funds to finish the roof. Also, I have found out that for my trip to the jungle, I am going to have to change my return trip date and there is a pretty big fee for that, as well as purchasing my ticket to Iquitos. Please pray that God will provide.
3. Opportunities- Please pray that God will give me more and more opportunities to share and minister and give me the words and actions to do so effectively
Thank you SO much for supporting me in your prayers.
If it is on your heart to support financially- there are several big areas for financial need.
1. JUNGLE MISSIONS TRIP In April I will be going on an inland missions trip to the jungle area of Iquitos. I will be going with a team of Pastors and church leaders from Ancon. We will go to serve and encourage a church there as well as evangelism. If you are interested in either helping fund my travel expenses there, or contribute to the church in Iquitos, please let me know. Any gift would be so appreciated.
2. THE CHURCH My church here- La Iglesia El Camino. is going through some financial struggles. We are under going some much needed construction, and are lacking the funds to complete it. Right now we don't have enough money raised to complete the roof.
3. THE MINISTRY- Las Palmaras is the impoverished village that we do the feeding and teaching program at for the kids. We are lacking supplies and finances to purchase more nutritious food.
We need money for transportation to and from Las Palmeras for the volunteers as well as food and drinks for up to 50+ kids every week.
4. LIVING EXPENSES: While the cost of living here is lower than the United States, things like public transportation and purified bottled water everyday starts to add up quickly when there is no source of income.
If any of these areas is on your heart to give- just send me a quick e-mail at Johannasjourney@yahoo.com to let me know and I will give you the details on how to donate!
